Account and data deletion — Jyotish (Vedic Astrology)

1. Delete the account from within the app (immediate)

1. Open the Jyotish app (if you have signed out, sign in again).
2. Tap the Profile tab, the last one on the bottom bar.
3. Tap the gear ⚙, in the top right corner, to open Settings.
4. Scroll to the bottom and tap "Delete my account".
5. Confirm in both confirmation steps.

The deletion takes effect immediately and permanently: the account is erased and the app returns to the login screen.

2. Delete the account by email (alternative)

If you prefer (or if you no longer have access to the app), send an email to jyotishatmalabs@gmail.com from your registered email address, requesting the deletion of your account. We will confirm and carry out the deletion as soon as possible, within the legal deadlines of the LGPD (Law No. 13,709/2018, Brazil's General Data Protection Law).

Accounts created with no sign-up (with no email address) can only be deleted from within the app itself (item 1), since there is no email address through which we could confirm your identity.

3. What is deleted

When you delete the account, we permanently remove from our servers:

• Account data: email (if any — the account may have been created with no sign-up), credentials (password hash) and the Sign in with Google identifier, if used;
• All birth profiles and their data (name, gender, date/time/city of birth, coordinates, time zone, ayanāṃśa);
• Your reading: progress by section, saved bookmarks and the daily streak;
• Saved pairs — including the birth data of the other people you may have registered in them or that they sent by invite;
• Invites — the ones you generated for Synastry or Friendship (hashed code, dates and link) and, for every invite you accepted, the copy of your birth data in the inviter's saved pair, erased before the account is removed;
• Premium access records (entitlements) associated with the profiles;
• Notification tokens (push) of your devices;
• Active sessions (access tokens).

4. What may be retained, and for how long

• Subscriptions: billing is managed by the store (Google Play / App Store). Deleting the account does not cancel an active subscription — cancel it in your store account as well. The store's payment records follow the store's own policies.
• Infrastructure backups: the deleted data may persist temporarily in routine server backups, which are rotated and overwritten automatically in short cycles; they are not used to reactivate deleted accounts.
• Reports exported as PDF or kept on your device remain under your control and are not affected.

5. Delete only part of the data (without deleting the account)

You can delete individual birth profiles at any time while keeping the account: on the Profile tab, tap the menu (⋮) of the desired profile and choose Delete. That profile's data — including the reading, the bookmarks, the saved pairs and the invites linked to it — is permanently removed. If the profile was created by accepting an invite, the copy of your data in the inviter's saved pair is erased as well.

You can also withdraw only the consent to an invite you accepted, without deleting anything: under Profile → ⚙ Settings → Invites you accepted, tap Revoke. Your birth data is removed from the inviter's saved pair; the profile created in your account remains yours.
